BioBy day I’m a financial analyst for the Exploratorium. By night I fight evil as a writer. I have a 260 page novel currently out seeking a literary agent, the first chapter is here: http://chris-west.blogspot.com/2009/02/first-chapter-of-my-novel-in-neon-night.html.
I’ve been published in Kitchen Sink #11 (http://stores.ebay.com/kitchensinkmagazine ), Morbid Curiosity #9 & 10 (http://www.charnel.com/morbidcuriosity/morbid.html ), and at Common Ties (http://www.commonties.com/blog/2007/05/09/kissing-girls-in-the-dark/ ). I’m also a regular contributor at LEGENDmag (http://www.legendmag.net/thelegendonline/?s=hipsters ) and The Rumpus.net (http://therumpus.net/author/chris-west/ ) and have appeared on stage at Mortified (http://www.getmortified.com/about/ ).
Things that I am known to be fond of include loud thrashy music, Star Trek, people with geeky glasses, coffee and cats. I've been in San Francisco for eight years now, but previously lived in both Hong Kong and Japan. And San Diego, which was truly exotic.
What else can I tell you? I am a pro-Semitic homophile. I live, breathe and eat music. I speak parts of four languages. My vices include black coffee, apocalyptic thinking and Dido. I seem quiet and serious at first, but really I'm just shy and underneath I'm a big sweetie and a titanic goofball. Further information is available on request...
